Directions From San Diego

• Take Interstate 5 north to La Jolla Parkway (formerly Ardath Road).
• Go west on La Jolla Parkway and down the hill (approx 1.5 miles) to La Jolla Shores Drive.
• Turn right on La Jolla Shores Drive and go 1 mile to Naga Way.
• Turn left onto Naga Way (this is the "Naga Entrance").
• Bear slightly left into parking lot P008.

• Take Interstate 5 south to Genessee Ave.
• Go west on Genessee Ave. approx 0.5 miles to North Torrey Pines Road.
• Turn left (south) on N. Torrey Pines Rd. and go 1 mile to La Jolla Shores Drive.
• Turn right (west) on La Jolla Shores Drive and go down the hill about 1 mile to Scripps.
• Turn right onto Naga Way (this is the "Naga Entrance").
• Bear slightly left into parking lot P008.

Parking permits are required at all times on the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. There are three options available for visitors.

1. Ask your host to arrange for a visitor pass.
2. Park on La Jolla Shores Drive.
3. Go to one of the Visitor Information Centers on the UCSD Campus (see UCSD map) and purchase a one-day pass for $6. This pass will allow you to park in lot P016 by the Deep Sea Drilling buildings (see SIO map).

• Enter Hubbs Hall through the main doors on the 4th (top) floor.
• Go straight down the hall and take either the stairs or the elevator to the 2nd floor.
• Go to your right and continue to the end of the hallway.
• Go to your right.
• Dr. Gaasterland's office (room 2125) will be on the left and the lab area (room 2230) will be on the right.
